Leesrigg Cottage holiday cottage is easily accessed by road and is only a short distance from the A595. Our nearest railway stations are at Aspatria (approximately 4miles) and Wigton (approximately 6miles). The main-line Railway station at Carlisle (approx 18 miles) is well served, with links to major stations including London, Birmingham, Manchester, Newcastle, Edinburgh and Glasgow.
From the M6 Motorway
Leave the motorway at Penrith (J41) and follow the B5305 towards Wigton. When you reach the junction of the B5305 with the A595, turn left, signposted Cockermouth and Whitehaven and continue South-West on the A595 for approximately 4 miles. When you reach the hamlet of Mealsgate, turn right towards Fletchertown and Aspatria on the B5299. After approximately half a mile you will reach the Fletchertown crossroads. Turn left to continue on the B5299 towards Aspatria. After around half a mile, you will reach Leesrigg Cottage on your left, with the entrance to the driveway marked with two white stones. Please take care when turning in, as the gateway is narrow. Guest parking is to the left.
From Carlisle
Take the A595 South from the city towards Cockermouth and Workington. After roughly 15 miles, you reach the hamlet of Mealsgate. Turn right towards Fletchertown and Aspatria on the B5299. After approximately half a mile you will reach the Fletchertown crossroads. Turn left to continue on the B5299 towards Aspatria. After around half a mile, you will reach Leesrigg Cottage on your left, with the entrance to the driveway marked with two white stones. Please take care when turning in, as the gateway is narrow. Guest parking is to the left.
