COVID-19 and the lockdown

Whilst we have no guests at the moment, we are looking forward to the day when things improve , and we can welcome visitors back to the area for a well deserved break. While we’ve been in lockdown, we’ve enjoyed some of the simple pleasures that the locality has to offer, like this beautiful sun halo captured whilst walking our dog.

Fabulous Sunset!

Sunday evening saw this spectacular sunset, viewed here from Leesrigg Cottage. It marked the end of a day which started with a light ground frost, and was ideal for a walk with our four-legged friend.

What a day!

We had some fantastic late September weather here at Leesrigg Cottage yesterday. The garden is still looking good, and the lakes are a little quieter for doing a bit of exploring. We have availability from late October through to the Christmas break. There’s also still a chance to enjoy the Autumn colours. Our best rates are always available by contacting us

Lovely review from our guests

“Fantastic location within easy reach of The Lake District National Park.”

Lovely cottage and hosts Amanda and Graeme who live next door were there to offer local advice and guidance but never imposed upon you. Nice complimentary food essentials left for us on arrival and wood burner set up ready to light. Weather was unfortunately not good but the standard and comfort of the cottage more than made up for this. Would definitely recommend it and will look to go again!! Many Thanks.
