If you have around three hours to spare, a walk around Ennerdale Water of around 7.5 miles is highly recommended. You can take a course which follows the shoreline, or be a little more ambitious, and take to higher ground such heading over as Anglers Crag. Either way, the views are glorious. Don’t forget to take a short detour to Smithy Beck Falls either! Ennerdale Lake is a 40minute drive from Leesrigg Cottage. Car Parks are available at Bleach Green and Bowness Knott.
